Au-Lehrpfad

In the Machland municipality of Naarn, in the district of Au on the Danube, is Austria's largest fish pass. It was built as part of the flood dam construction. A viewing tower allows insights from above onto the fish pass and offers distant views into the plains of the Machland. Also interesting and worth seeing is the Au educational trail with its starting points in Naarn and Au/Donau. It leads past cultivated areas into the riparian forest. The adventure trail shows us how important the riparian habitat is for nature and its plant and animal inhabitants. Bookable: Year-round by prior arrangement Max.
