Biographical Hubertus Mayr Born in Upper Austria. First experiences with plaster sculptures with a friend who later became o.Prof. for Art History. From 1985, first attempts with stones with a friend in the Waldviertel. From 2000, training courses for sculpture with Lioba Leibl, Munich. University education in museum education with a thesis on the topic: "Space in Art". Intensive engagement with questions of art. First solo exhibitions. Public commissions followed: Urn burial site for stillborn children, Stadtfriedhof Linz, Stone/glass fountain in front of the SPES Bildungsakademie in Schlierbach / Upper Austria. Ball climbing tree in front of the Pfarrcaritas Kindergarten Pfarrkirchen / Bad Hall. Monument for the Swiss saint Nikolaus von Flüe, Vienna 2, on the occasion of Euro 2008. Glass sculpture "Aufwind" in the Raiffeisenbank Bad Hall / Upper Austria. Burial sites in Pfarrkirchen / Hall, Linz and Salzburg, Urn burial site Seewalchen. Exhibition of gravestone transformations in the Bildungshaus Schloss Puchberg in connection with the Lenten sermons. Participation in the Open Studio Days in Upper Austria. Gravestone for Susanne Zach in Leibnitz.
