Architektur Haus Kärnten

Under the motto "BUILDING CULTURE LIVING", 15 building culture initiatives are currently gathered around Architektur Haus Kärnten and act as mediators on different levels. Since its founding in 1992, the house has been an important point of contact for building culture questions for architects, builders, interested parties, politicians, and the public. One of the essential tasks is to strengthen and present regional building culture and to enliven it with supra-regional aspects and perspectives. The focus is on concentrating on architectural events in the state, from which the view extends to the supra-regional and also international. This is created through constant contact with the other architecture houses in Austria as well as in neighboring countries such as Slovenia and Italy. Over the years, Architektur Haus Kärnten has developed into a lively and open cultural venue in Klagenfurt. With over 8,000 visitors and 60 different events per year, including exhibitions, excursions, discussions, lectures, children's workshops, and also large-scale conferences on current topics such as spatial planning or sustainable building, Architektur Haus Kärnten has developed into a nationwide active platform for building culture in recent years. The exchange and relationships with neighboring countries Slovenia and Italy are also constantly being expanded.
