Archäologielehrpfad Goldbichl

A burnt offering site in the heart of the Alps. Approximately 4000 years ago, the Goldbichl - an elevation between the villages of Igls, Patsch, and Lans - was a powerful sanctuary. Today, an archaeological trail takes you on an exciting journey into the past. On the way to the prehistoric burnt offering site, you will find illustrated information boards that reveal more about the period between approximately 2000 to 15 BC. Bronze and Iron Age finds and a model of the "Goldbichl" sanctuary can be admired in the Haus des Gastes at the Igls tourist office.
