Antoniuskapelle in Versahl

Antoniuskapelle in Versahl

Ischgl, Tyrol

Versahl (documented around 1360) is one of the oldest settlements in the Paznaun Valley. The Antoniuskapelle was built around 1630 as a plague chapel and enlarged in 1673. Even the baroque door lock from the 17th century is still preserved. The interior consists of the three-sided altar area (five-sided on the exterior) with an individually designed barrel vault with lunettes, similar to the Maria Schnee Chapel in Ischgl-Pasnatsch.
