Antoniuskapelle im Kaisertal - Ebbs

The Antoniuskapelle in the Kaisertal nature reserve was built in 1711 and is located on a small hill. In the immediate vicinity is the Hinterkaiserhof, the oldest farm in the Kaisertal. From the chapel, a wonderful view opens up to the opposite Gamsberg and further into the Kaisertal. The Antoniuskapelle looks back on a long history. In 1711, it was built on the site where a small chapel already stood, in honor of St. Antonius, the intercessor in need and danger. After several extensions and alterations, the Antoniuskapelle fell victim to vandals in 1944, during which the figure of St. Leonhard was stolen. In the years 1985/1986, the owner family Schaffer from Hinterkaiserhof extensively renovated the chapel and installed a weather-resistant copper roof. This place of power can be reached from the Kaiseraufstieg Ebbs in about one to one and a half hours.
