Antoniuskapelle Hagau

Kramsach, Tyrol

One-bay masonry building from 1685 (year above the portal) on an almost square floor plan with a three-sided choir, with a gabled roof and a wooden, octagonal roof turret with eight round-arched sound openings and an onion dome. Inside, the barrel vault with lunettes and stucco mouldings from the time of construction are preserved. The ceiling paintings depict scenes from the life of St. Anthony and are by the Schwaz painter Christoph Anton Mayr, around 1750. Next to the chapel stands a so-called plague column. The year 1522 is on the bevelled base of the attachment. Every year on St. Anthony's Day, a mass takes place at the chapel. One can use this opportunity to admire the beautiful Antoniuskapelle from the inside as well.
