Annakapelle - Schladming

The Annakapelle is a Roman Catholic chapel in Schladming in Styria. It is located northeast of the city parish church, in the cemetery that surrounds the church. The Annakapelle was partially destroyed by a fire in 1618 and rebuilt in 1630. The two-story building was originally used as an ossuary. The cross-vaulted upper floor is designed with two bays in the nave and has a single-bay choir with a 3/8-closure. Worn tombstones made of red marble from the 16th century are placed on the outer wall of the chapel. A heraldic tombstone for Matthias Katzpeck is noteworthy.
