Gallery for contemporary art in a seven-hundred-year-old, medieval building in the old town of Hall in Tirol.The Altstadt Galerie Hall, founded in 1993, impresses in many ways. On the one hand, through the unique atmosphere of the medieval building, and on the other hand, through the consistent artistic line of the exhibition program. The gallery rooms, renovated with great love and empathy, extend over three floors. Beautiful old parlors invite visitors to enjoy art and linger. Here, wood paneling contrasts with lime plaster walls and vaults. The terrace is primarily used for the presentation of sculptures outdoors. In the course of its existence, the committed gallery owner Hannes Niederlechner has succeeded in creating an excellent name for the gallery for representational painting and sculpture. The focus of the exhibitions is contemporary Austrian art. Graphics, oil paintings, and watercolors cover themes such as landscape painting, still life, and nude painting. As a meeting point for collectors and art lovers, the Altstadt Galerie Hall celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2018. Guided tours are offered continuously and as needed.
