The buildings of the farmstead, except for the barn, are in their original condition. It is a meeting place for our citizens and the border area with Passau. The property is already mentioned in old documents from the 17th century. The attached "Troadkasten" (grain box) with peasant painting dates from 1786. The small but very fine museum reports on centuries of Tegel (clay) mining in Freinberg, on life with borders and customs, as well as on the development and origin of dialects in our border region. The individual dialects are made audible on a large digital table. With its many rooms, the Altes Forsthaus Freinberg is also very suitable for seminars, weddings, and family celebrations - technical equipment is available. Info: The "BiWaNa" – Bee Nature Trail is also located on the same premises. Coming from Linz: via B130
