Almtaler Bergwiesn mit Rastplatz Tissenbach

Along the popular hiking trail from the Tissenbachtal to the Scharnstein castle ruins lies a re-naturalized and newly maintained mountain meadow. A rest area was built a little above it to fully enjoy this idyllic spot with a view of the Bräumauer opposite. This family-friendly excursion can be wonderfully combined with a visit to the Geyerhammer Museum. It is ideal to arrive by Almtalbahn (Wels-Grünau) to Scharnstein-Mühldorf station. A newly built wooden bridge leads to the correct bank of the Alm river. Further hiking opportunities: along the "Genuss am Almfluss" trail in both directions or up to the Windhagkogel or the Hochsalm.
