Since summer 2013, Alpe Dias has housed an exhibition on the topic of Alm (mountain pasture) life in Paznaun. Original settings present how life on the Alm has been shaped over the last decades and centuries. Knowledge about rural life in Paznaun is deepened, and the agricultural cultural history of the region is brought to mind.In the course of the project, the original condition of the Alm building was restored. The exhibition offers the opportunity to hear contemporary witnesses who themselves lived and worked on the Alm. This provides an exciting look at the human aspects of Alm life.Inside the Alm, the processing and refinement of raw milk into butter and cheese is also addressed. Visitors gain a look behind the scenes of milk and cheese production on the Alm. Interesting explanations, short films, and homemade cheese round off the visit to the Alm.
