The village lime tree in Höfen was planted in 1727, according to old documents. Thus, the tree is shortly before its 300th birthday. However, lime trees can live up to 1000 years. The tree is over 33 meters high. The trunk circumference, which is around seven meters, is also remarkable, with a diameter of around two meters.
