With the rock collection and the easy-to-understand explanations, you can immerse yourself in the volcanic past of the Vulkanland and comprehend how the volcanoes shaped and continue to shape the landscape and the people. Because even today, the volcanoes are more tangible than one might think! In two rooms, the formation of the East Styrian volcanoes is shown using graphics and photos. The documentation provides insight into the volcanism from 17 to 2 million years ago, which still characterizes the landscape of our region today. Overall, the Styrian Vulkanland offers an exciting diversity in the Southeast Styrian museum landscape. The colorful spectrum ranges from old rock collections to astronomy or contemporary art.
